Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Greg Possum (ranked 22094 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Walters (ranked 4893 p4p, 462 weight class). Possum comes into the arena with Simply The Best blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kevin Walters enters the cage!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Greg Possum! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Kevin Walters! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Possum scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Possum goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Walters has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Possum but great work by Walters. Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Possum (4) vs (4) Walters We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Possum is looking to reverse the position. Walters wants to control but Possum is keeping him busy. Walters takes a little break here. Possum wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Possum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walters on the ground.

Both fighters take a look at the clock. Walters controls the position from side control. Walters trying to control the action but Possum is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walters is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Possum looks calm but he's in trouble here. Walters gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Possum is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Walters lets go of the hold and Possum can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1# Nice sprawl there from Iwoba as Possum shoots in. Iwoba lands with a kick to the ribs.
Possum tries for a takedown but Iwoba circles away easily and Iwoba makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Iwoba bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Possum's head backwards. Iwoba lands a nice looking body shot.
Iwoba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Possum shoots in but no luck this time. Bosco Iwoba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Possum. Iwoba keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Iwoba appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#TD2# Possum shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Iwoba manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Possum throws an elbow that misses. Iwoba uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Possum's guard. Nice move by Iwoba!#REVR# This has been an exciting period of action! Brown did well to prevent Possum getting side control. Possum has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. #R1# Possum shoots in but no luck this time. Blanchard shoots in looking for a takedown. Possum tries to sprawl out of it but Blanchard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Possum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Possum has his takedown stuffed and Blanchard counters with a stiff right hand. Possum doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Blanchard to counter with a crisp jab. Jess Blanchard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Possum. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Possum is defended easily by Blanchard. Possum takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Possum tries to score a power double leg takedown but Torres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Possum somewhat. Possum fails with the takedown and Torres counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Paulo Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Possum. Possum misses with a takedown and Torres counters with a series of strikes. Possum will be more careful next time no doubt.
