We've been told by Ali Jr's head coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ali Jr shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Clark eats them both and turns towards Ali Jr to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Clark tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Clark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ali Jr lands an overhand right. Ali Jr lands with a kick to the temple. Clark shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sloppy strikes from Ali Jr. Those never looked like landing. Clark slips a jab and a cross from Ali Jr.
Ali Jr is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ali Jr misses with the combination.

Ali Jr has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Henry is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ali Jr throws a right and a left that Henry avoids nicely. Ali Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ali Jr looks winded!#TD# Henry manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ali Jr on his heels. He'll look to pass Ali Jr's guard now, I'm sure. Henry trying to control the position from guard on top but Ali Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ali Jr wants to stand and escape but Henry is having none of it. Henry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Henry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ali Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Henry lands a couple of digs. Henry connects with a couple of short punches. Henry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ali Jr being controlled here, momentarily. Ali Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
