Kowalevitz did well to prevent Kaso getting side control. Kaso tries to pass to full mount but Kowalevitz defends it. Kaso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kowalevitz on the ground. Kowalevitz wants to control but Kaso is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Kaso is working for a kimura but Kowalevitz is defending it quite comfortably.

#R1# No luck for Kaso with that takedown attempt. Kaso fails with the takedown. Green thinks about countering with a head kick. Kaso shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense. A little feinted left hand from Green on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Bobby Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Burt Kaso. Green keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kaso. Kaso looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. An attempted straight right counter from Green misses the target. Burt Kaso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green throws a solid leg kick but Kaso takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Green.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Kaso being controlled against the cage. Al Qassam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Al Qassam is concentrating on defense, preventing Kaso from advancing position. Al Qassam is trying to get back to full guard. Al Qassam is controlling Kaso's position as best he can from this difficult position. Kaso tries to pass the half guard into mount. Al Qassam knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Al Qassam does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Al Qassam preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kaso is taking a breather. Al Qassam says something to him but it's hard to make out.
