Let's see what he can do from the top position.#ES# Sims manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.#TD2# Armendsen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Armendsen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Sims's corner is telling him to maintain position. Armendsen controls Sims momentarily but Sims frees himself. Armendsen wants to get back to his feet but Sims passes into half guard.
Armendsen is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Armendsen trying to control here.

#R1##TD# Sims is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hugo's half guard. Hugo tries to kick Sims off but Sims keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hugo is looking to get back to is feet but Sims passes into side control.
Hugo is trying to buck Sims off. Hugo tries to control but Sims manages to take his back. Hugo tries to break free.
Hugo wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hugo tries to roll but Sims sticks to his back.
Sims keeps control of the position easily here as Hugo tries to buck him off.

#SUB# Sims is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hugo has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sims has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hugo taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sims doesn't care though - he's delighted!

#R1# Kola just misses with a punch to the body.
Kola throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sims misses with a low kick. Kola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sims looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A shot to the liver by Kola. Beautiful body shot. Sims wants to land a leg kick but Kola is out of range. #CL2# Kola clinches up against the cage. Kola is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Sims is trying to trip Kola. He has hold of a leg but Kola is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sims persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kola can do anything to dispel that myth. Sims won't allow Kola to get back to his feet. #T1# Kola is looking to stand back up but Sims counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kola. Sims keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Sims prevents Kola from standing back up.
#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sims throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kola is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. A telegraphed right hand from Kola misses the target. Sims seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A jab from Kola finds it's way through Sims's defenses. Sims throws a nice inside leg kick. #TD# Sims manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kola on his heels. He'll look to pass Kola's guard now, I'm sure. Sims stops Kola from standing up. Kola wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sims manages to pass to side control. Sims stops Kola from getting back to his feet.
#T3# Sims looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kola trying to control but Sims postures up.
Kola looks winded! Sims working Kola over with strikes. Sims is nestled in close to Kola, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sims thows a huge punch but Kola dodges it nicely.

Kola stopping the sweep attempt from Sims.#SUB# Kola wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Sims's closed guard. He's half up but Sims has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Sims pivots and extends the arm, Kola falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Sims! Well done that man!

Sims content to stall in guard here. Sims lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lathander working a defensive guard but Sims manages to pass into side control anyway.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Sims is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lathander knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lathander is trying to escape and get back to his feet.#T1# Sims working the ground and pound. #SUB# Sims goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lathander rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sims's guard! Nice work there by Lathander! Lathander wants to control from the top but Sims keeps moving. Lathander is looking to pass into half guard but Sims pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sims is in guard.#REVR# Sims with a flurry of punches that miss. #T2# Lathander not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lathander tries to stand but Sims is controlling his head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sims sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've been informed that Lathander has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Lathander wants to stand but Sims has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. #SUB# Sims has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lathander is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sims. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Sims's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#T1# Sims looking for a sweep but Lathander has passed into full mount! Oh no! Sims is trying to escape the mount.
You get the feeling that Sims really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Sims wants to get back to his feet but Lathander is in a dominant position and won't allow it. #T3# Sims trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all.
