Barras throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chavez's waist but Chavez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barras off to one side.
Barras fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chavez avoids it really well and circles away.
Chavez throws a sloppy head kick #TD#
and Barras counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Barras is nestled in close to Chavez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#SUB#
Barras is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Barras wants to get back to his feet.

Barras is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chavez is just riding it out for now. Barras eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barras is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Barras prevents Chavez from improving his position.
Chavez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barras is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barras lands a nice short elbow.

Chavez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Barras scores with a couple of nice shots.#ROC#
Chavez is rocked!
Barras looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chavez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chavez is still in real trouble! Can Barras finish him?
Barras lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Chavez! More strikes land and this one is all over! Barras jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Al Qassam stuffs the takedown.
Chavez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Al Qassam pinned against the cage. Al Qassam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #CL#
Chavez moves into the clinch successfully.
Chavez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Al Qassam smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Chavez. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2#
Al Qassam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Al Qassam unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Chavez wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Al Qassam celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
