#R1##TD2# St John is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cain's half guard.#SUB2# St John is working for a kimura but Cain is defending it quite comfortably.
Cain wants to improve his position but St John is controlling well.
#SUB2# St John is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cain sees it coming and defends easily.#SUB2# St John seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cain trying to control but St John postures up.
St John prevents Cain from improving his position.#T1# Cain is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of St John's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take St John's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cain controlling well, preventing St John from escaping the position.
Cain is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at St John. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cain wants to control but St John is keeping busy. Cain gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Cain cracks St John with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing St John from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
#SUB# Cain looking to break St John's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. St John remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cain will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! St John tries to escape the position.
St John really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cain lands a shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Cain trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
