Daniels is defending well but Rockne drives through and ends up in Daniels's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockne in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rockne trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rockne accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Daniels on his back here. #R1# Smith stuns Rockne with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rockne doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smith counters with a nice uppercut. Rockne throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Knute Rockne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith misses with the combination.
Rockne doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.

#R1# Rockne tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily letting Silva counter with a right hand. Silva stuffs the takedown. Silva fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rockne on the side of the head. Rockne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice body kick from Silva. Rockne misses with a takedown attempt letting Silva counter with a right hand. Richard Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knute Rockne. Rockne shoots and misses and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Silva has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA in the buildup to the fight. Rockne shoots and misses and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rockne is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Silva Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Rockne is out cold, face down on the mat!

#R1# Rockne looks to throw the jab but Cisse is out of range. #TD2# Rockne is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cisse's half guard. Rockne looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Cisse has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rockne is working away from the top position though. Cisse wants to get back to full guard. Cisse is breathing heavily. Cisse on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rockne looks to score some points with some ground and pound.#CUT2# It looks like Zoumana Cisse has been cut. Rockne looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rockne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cisse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rockne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rockne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cisse with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #ROC2# Cisse is rocked!
