You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#KD2# Rivera lands a big head kick that sends Velez tumbling to the mat! Rivera takes a step backwards and waves Velez back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Velez is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Shayne Velez has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villarreal continues to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Villarreal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Snyder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Snyder slips a nice elbow through Rivera's hands, connecting with Rivera's forehead.#SUB# Snyder is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivera doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Snyder. Sanchez dives in for a single leg takedown but Rivera sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Rivera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rivera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sanchez sprawls well. Sanchez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet. Rivera is breathing heavily. Rivera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
