#R1##CL2# The Bastard rushes Vaughan and presses him up against the cage.#TD2# The Bastard has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vaughan uses from the top position. The Bastard controls Vaughan momentarily but Vaughan frees himself. The Bastard has momentary wrist control but Vaughan slips an elbow through the middle. Vaughan sitting in guard, not really doing much. Vaughan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Bastard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vaughan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#T1# We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Vaughan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down The Bastard for as long as he can get away with.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A combination from The Bastard does no damage. Vaughan attempts a counter takedown but The Bastard avoids it well and moves away.#TD2# The Bastard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vaughan did well to prevent The Bastard getting side control. Vaughan is refusing to be controlled, as The Bastard sits in half guard. Vaughan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The Bastard wants to pass the guard but Vaughan is defending well. It looks like The Bastard is going to stand back up.
Vaughan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.#T2# Vaughan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Bastard manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR##SUB# Vaughan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vaughan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The Bastard is looking to stand back up but Vaughan counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by The Bastard. The Bastard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vaughan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Vaughan drops an elbow to the side of The Bastard's head. #T3# Vaughan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The Bastard is trying to stand up here but Vaughan is controlling him well. Vaughan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The Bastard trying to get back to full guard but Vaughan takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vaughan is landing with some decent strikes but The Bastard is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Vaughan raining down shots from the mount!#SUB# Vaughan working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. The Bastard looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Vaughan! Submission of the night perhaps?
