He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carrillo's half guard.#ES# Carrillo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Patrick is on him like a limpet, forcing Carrillo back against the cage. Carrillo displaying some good clinch control by pressing Patrick up against the cage. Patrick can't break the clinch.
Patrick blocks the elbow strike.
Patrick prevents a body shot from Carrillo. #TD2# Patrick gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Carrillo regains guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carrillo keeping moving, preventing Patrick from controlling successfully. #T1# Patrick is looking to stand up but Carrillo won't let him. Carrillo throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Preston Carrillo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jean Claude Patrick's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2##CL2# Patrick pushes Carrillo up against the cage in a clinch. Patrick is trying to break free. Carrillo misses with a punch to the body.

Patrick wants to stand and escape but Carrillo is having none of it. #SU# Patrick is working an open guard so Carrillo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.#TD2# Carrillo gets caught napping as Patrick dives in and scores a takedown. Carrillo manages to retain guard.#ES# Carrillo uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Carrillo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#ES# Carrillo is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Patrick presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Carrillo missing with knees to the body.

A frustrated look appears on Patrick's face as he tries to break the clinch. Carrillo controlling the action here for a moment.
Patrick tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Carrillo tries to land a knee to the head but Patrick blocks with his arms.
Carrillo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Patrick can do to turn this around?#T3# Stalling in the clinch from Carrillo.

Carrillo tries to land knees in the clinch but Patrick avoids the damage to the body. Patrick is trying to break the clinch but Carrillo has him pressed against the cage. Carrillo misses with a body punch.
Come on Carrillo - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Preston Carrillo dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! #R3##TD2# Patrick feints and as Carrillo raises his hands in defense, Patrick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Patrick wants to control from the top but Carrillo keeps moving. Patrick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#ES# Carrillo manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Carrillo tries to work over Patrick's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Patrick is looking to control Carrillo's arms but Carrillo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Patrick has his back to the cage. Carrillo throws an elbow but it's blocked.
#TD2# Patrick manages to pull guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carrillo's corner. There ya go! There ya go! #T2##SU# Carrillo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Patrick, up you get! #TD2# Patrick drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#ES# Carrillo is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Carrillo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.#BC# Carrillo breaks from the clinch.
#CL2# Patrick moves into range and clinches up with Carrillo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carrillo misses with a punch on the inside.
#T3# The referee is keeping an eye on Carrillo - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Patrick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carrillo manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB##SUB# Carrillo is looking to cinch up a triangle. Patrick throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Carrillo's body to avoid the submission. Carrillo has instead reached around Patrick's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Carrillo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

#R1# Patrick takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.#CUT2# It looks like Jean Claude Patrick has been cut. Patrick shoots in looking for a takedown but Miles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patrick's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Miles throws a head kick but Patrick moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Miles as Patrick shoots in. Miles tries to score with a low kick but Patrick moves his leg out of the way. Miles misses with a two punch combination.
Miles moves into range and connects with a jab. Patrick takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Miles tried to score with a low kick but Patrick checks it. Nice cross by Miles . Patrick drops his hands momentarily and Miles takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Miles moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#KD2# Oooooh!!! Miles has knocked Patrick down with a huge combo! Miles steps away and waves a wobbly Patrick back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC2# Patrick is rocked!#CUT2# Jean Claude Patrick's cut is getting worse. Patrick walks straight into a right hand from Miles - that's dropped him! Miles jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Patrick from any more punishment! Patrick complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
