#R1# Carwin throws a right hand that misses
#TD# and Kain counters with a nice double leg into guard. Carwin wants to stand but Kain is controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carwin can do anything to dispel that myth. Kain controlling from the top position. Carwin wants to stand and escape but Kain is having none of it. Kain pushes down on Carwin's leg and manages to get into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carwin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kain stops Carwin from getting back to his feet.
Carwin wants to stand back up but Kain manages to pass into side control.
#T1# Kain taking a breather here. Kain cracks Carwin with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kain controlling the position. Carwin wants to get back to his feet. Kain wants to control but Carwin is keeping him busy. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carwin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kain asserts his dominance and retains side control.#SUB# Kain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carwin has escaped the position, nice work there. Kain prevents Carwin from escaping the position.#SUB# Kain is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Carwin is trying to escape and Kain transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Carwin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kain! Very nice indeed!

#R1# Shang on the wrong end of a nice hook. Shang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carwin is fending him off so far but Shang persists. Nope, Carwin circles away and we're back to standing. and Carwin counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Shang! He's just covering up as Carwin starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane Carwin! Shane Carwin tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
