Measles lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hays's sensitive parts. Measles throws a nice inside leg kick. Measles leaves Hays with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Measles lands a front kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A thudding body kick lands there by Measles!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hays using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Measles has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hays doesn't seem to be complaining.

#R1##TD# Hays shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hays was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hardpeck can't do much from the bottom here. Hardpeck tries to improve position but can't. #SUB# Hays looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hardpeck pushes Hays away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hays gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardpeck sneaks back into half guard.#SUB# Hays is looking for a kimura but Hardpeck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hays to get the leverage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardpeck can do anything to dispel that myth. Hardpeck is looking for a sweep. Nicely done. #SU2# Spacey decides to stand back up. Hays shoots for a double leg takedown but Spacey sprawls well. Hays might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB2# Dela Fuente is working for a kimura but Hays is defending it quite comfortably.
Hays wants to control but Dela Fuente is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hays is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dela Fuente's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dela Fuente's back! #R1# Eislwood throws a leg kick but Hays sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hays drops down looking for a counter takedown but Eislwood sprawls and moves away. Eislwood slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hays defending well as Eislwood loads up on a big left hand. An attempted straight right counter from Hays misses the target. A right-left combo lands from Eislwood. Hays will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. and Eislwood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Eislwood throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Eislwood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hays circles away quickly and effectively. Eislwood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hays moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Eislwood. A big left from Vencedor misses. Vencedor bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hays's head backwards.#CUT2# It looks like Dennis Hays has been cut. Vencedor throws an overhand right that lands on Hays's shoulder, as Hays tries to avoid the shot. Hays feinted with a counter takedown. Vencedor throws a shot from downtown. Hays moves away and avoids it. Vencedor throws a right hand that misses
and Hays counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vencedor loads up on a big right hand but Hays slips the punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vencedor throws out a loose jab but Hays uses good head movement to avoid it. Vencedor lands a nice shot that snaps Hays's head back.
