Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Collins Pac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Cannon (ranked 24664 p4p, 581 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Landon Cannon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Collins Pac! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Landon Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.


Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Pac looks for a takedown but Cannon sprawls well.
Cannon with the counter takedown but Pac avoids it easily.
Cannon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cannon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pac misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Pac gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pac wants to take the fight to the mat but Cannon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Collins Pac. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cannon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cannon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pac slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Pac has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cannon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cannon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pac is defending well. Cannon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pac has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cannon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pac swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pac has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sanchez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pac goes for a double leg but Sanchez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sanchez continues to drive forward.
Sanchez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pac.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Pac circles away.

Pac closes the distance and clinches.
Pac wants a takedown but no success here.
John Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Collins Pac.
Pac wants to take the fight to the mat but Sanchez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Pac pulls guard effortlessly.

Pac is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanchez defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pac has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.

Pac wants to sweep but no luck.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Pac keeps moving.
Pac seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Pac looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pac is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.

Pac is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pac seems keen to control Sanchez's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Pac keeps moving.

Pac is looking for a triangle but Sanchez pushes his legs off easily.

Pac is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Pac has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sanchez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pac has tightened it up now! Sanchez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Russo Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pac misses with a body shot.
Russo Jr punishes Pac's body with a nice straight punch.
A punch lands to the side of Pac 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Pac has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pac misses with a straight right.
Russo Jr digs a good body shot into Pac's ribs.
Russo Jr throws a series of strikes that have Pac backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pac throws a head kick that misses.
Russo Jr connects with a crisp jab.
Pac throws out a loose jab but Russo Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pac takes one to the chin there.

Pac is rocked!
Pac walks into a stiff left hand from Russo Jr.
Oh Pac is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Russo Jr throws a series of punches but Pac avoids them all with ease.
Pac wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Russo Jr connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #T1#
Russo Jr thuds a left hand into Pac's body.
Russo Jr catches Pac with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Russo Jr rushes Pac and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Pac is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Russo Jr piles on the pressure and Pac crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
