It looks like Sargent might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Diaz is trying to keep Sargent in close.
Sargent trying to move into half guard but instead Diaz has managed to sweep!#REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rumper throws a series of punches but Sargent moves out of range. Rumper looks to throw the jab but Sargent is out of range. Sargent is looking to clinch. Rumper cracks Sargent with a right hand to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sargent fails to land the takedown. Rumper with a jab. Rumper misses with a two punch combination.
Sargent wants to counter with a clinch but Rumper pushes him away.#T1# Sargent will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rumper is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rumper is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sargent.

Sanna plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Sargent gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sargent wants to clinch. Sargent looks for a takedown but Sanna sprawls well. Sanna throws a lazy body kick and Sargent makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sanna really felt that one! Sargent shoots in for a takedown but Sanna shows good takedown defense. Sanna throws a big counter combination but Sargent scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Sanna scores with a nice head shot. Sanna blocks a head kick by Sargent.
Sanna connects with a high kick. Sargent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanna's waist but Sanna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sargent off to one side. Michael Sanna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaun Sargent. Sanna listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ortiz wants to clinch up but Sargent keeps it at a distance.
