#R1# Scanlan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sanderson swings for the body but Scanlan moves out of range.
Scanlan shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanderson tries to sprawl out of it but Scanlan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Scanlan. #TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Scanlan enables Sanderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Scanlan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sanderson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sanderson with a nice head shot there. Sanderson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanderson postures up.
Scanlan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sanderson landing some decent shots from guard. Sanderson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Scanlan tries to get back to half guard but can't. #T4# Scanlan is in a horrible position here. Sanderson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
