#R1# Bowie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Goodman circles away quickly and effectively. Steven Bowie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good work by Goodman as he checks the leg kick. Bowie misses with a combination
#TD# and Goodman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Goodman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bowie scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Goodman manages to mount him!
Goodman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Goodman controlling from mount. Bowie working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodman lands a big shot there that rocks Bowie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bowie is bucking up trying to escape but Goodman cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Goodman controlling from the full mount. #T1# Goodman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bowie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Bowie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bowie wants to control but Goodman is having none of it. Goodman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T2# Bowie wants to hold on but Goodman pushes him away. Goodman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bowie wants to control but Goodman is having none of it. Bowie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goodman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You get the feeling that Bowie really doesn't like being in this position too much.
