Third pulls Spanish Jr in close to his closed guard and prevents Spanish Jr from doing any damage or advancing position. Spanish Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Third is pulling down on Spanish Jr's head. It's preventing any offense from Spanish Jr, at least for the moment. Third tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SUB# Third is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spanish Jr defends well. Spanish Jr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Still in half guard, Third seems content to control. Third continues to stall. Third has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. A much better position for Spanish Jr. Rickky Spanish Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Third slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. And that's the end of the fight! Mr Third showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Third, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
