and James counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CUT2# It looks like Randy Tessin has been cut. Tessin avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tessin moves out of range as James strikes. #R1##TD2# Yung scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yung slips a nice elbow through Tessin's hands, connecting with Tessin's forehead. Yung seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tessin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #SUB# Tessin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Yung landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yung lands a nice short elbow. Yung is nestled in close to Tessin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Yung slips a nice elbow through Tessin's hands, connecting with Tessin's forehead.#SUB# Tessin actively working from the bottom here.#SUB# Tessin actively working from the bottom here. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bergs is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tessin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Tessin throws a good cross that connects.

Bergs goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tessin shoots for a takedown but Bergs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bergs scores with a one two! Tessin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bergs looks like he's trying to stand up.
