A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Myres. Lappers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Myres. Myres circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Some wild striking there from Lappers.
Myres walks into a straight right hand from Lappers. Myres fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Myres with that takedown attempt. Lappers wants to counter with a clinch but Myres pushes him away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Myres. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lappers turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Lappers connects with a leg kick. "I'm sorry" says Lappers. Myres manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Lappers bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lappers fails to land with a series of punches.

Carmichael fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Myres looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Carmichael swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Myres. Myres tries for a takedown but Carmichael sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Myres has his takedown stuffed and Carmichael counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Carmichael lands with a nice body punch. Carmichael punishes Myres's body with a nice straight punch. Myres takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Myres takes one to the side of the head.
Carmichael tries to bum rush Myres with a series of wild strikes but Myres uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
