The fighters roll with the hold and Scanlan manages to kick Woflgang off! Woflgang jumps back into Scanlan's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woflgang works a leg free and moves into half guard. #SU# Woflgang stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Nice cross by Scanlan. Scanlan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Scanlan wants it to stay on the feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scanlan! But no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woflgang drops his hands momentarily and Scanlan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Woflgang takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#ROC2# Woflgang is rocked! Scanlan connects with the punch. Oh Woflgang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Woflgang drops his hands momentarily. Scanlan doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Woflgang staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Woflgang doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Connar Scanlan! In his post fight interview, Connar Scanlan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

#R1# Pole catches Woflgang with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Pole lands an overhand right. Woflgang needs to keep his hands up - Pole had a free shot at his head there. Pole lands a jab to Woflgang's midsection. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Woflgang. Pole lands with a nice body punch. Pole jabs Woflgang to the body, keeping him at a distance. A solid leg kick lands there for Pole.
Pole swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Woflgang. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pole stuffs the takedown. Pole throws out a counter right but Woflgang avoids it with no problem. Pole throws a low kick but it's checked well by Woflgang. Woflgang ducks right into an uppercut from Pole. #ROC2# Woflgang is rocked! and Pole counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Woflgang! He's just covering up as Pole starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

#R1# Woflgang staying out of range there. Woflgang drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pole sprawls and moves away. Pole throws a leg kick but Woflgang moved away. Woflgang closes the distance and clinches up with Pole, looking for a takedown. Woflgang pushes Pole against the cage but Pole circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A jab from Pole misses. Pole throws a low kick but Woflgang avoids it. Woflgang slips a straight right by Pole. Pole lands a nice hook to Woflgang's body. Woflgang takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pole misses with a leg kick #TD# so Woflgang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pole pulls Woflgang in close to prevent any damage. #SUB# Woflgang drops back looking for a leg! Pole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pole manages to kick Woflgang off! Woflgang shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pole but Pole pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pole looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.#T3# Pole clobbers Woflgang with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Woflgang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pole. Pole throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Woflgang on the side of the head. Pole cracks Woflgang with a right hand to the side of the head. Pole lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.#ROC2# Woflgang is rocked! Pole drops Woflgang with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Woflgang! Pole dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
