A swing and a miss from Lappers. Lappers lands a nice looking body shot.

Usk is trying to push Lappers away but Lappers has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lappers lands with a light punch inside. Lappers lands on the inside with an uppercut. Lappers comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Lappers is working Usk over against the cage.#BC# Lappers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lappers swings for the body but Usk moves out of range.

Lappers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Usk. Usk shoots in for a takedown but Lappers shows good takedown defense. Lappers misses the body punch and Usk counters with a left and a right that stings Lappers. This has been an exciting period of action! Lappers throws a jab but it's blocked by Usk. #T1# Lappers catches Usk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Usk wants to clinch. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Usk fails with a takedown attempt. Usk shoots in for a takedown but Lappers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lappers throws the left hand but Usk avoids the punch easily. Lappers pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.#T4# Lappers swings for the body but Usk moves out of range.

Lappers tries to stand but can't do so whilst Usk controls his leg. Lappers controlling the action here. Lappers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lappers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Usk on the ground. Usk is refusing to be controlled, as Lappers sits in half guard. Lappers is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lappers wants to pass the guard but Usk is defending well. Lappers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Usk can do to turn this around? Usk is trying to keep Lappers in close.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Lappers will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! #R3# Usk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lappers swats him away and circles back towards the center. Usk shoots for a double leg takedown but Lappers sprawls well. He's pushed Usk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Usk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lappers swivels and escapes. Chris Lappers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lappers stuffs the takedown attempt from Usk. Usk gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Lappers was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Usk. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lappers presses Usk against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Usk can't break the clinch.
