Gavin is trying to pull guard but Rekve turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Gavin is trying to break the clinch but Rekve is controlling him. Gavin looking for a takedown. Gavin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rekve avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mathias Rekve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Gavin.#TD2# Gavin decides to pull guard. Gavin keeping moving, preventing Rekve from controlling successfully. Gavin wants to stand but Rekve is controlling the position. Rekve with a flurry of punches that miss. Gavin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gavin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Owings shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gavin dives in for a single leg takedown but Owings sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Owings throws a one two combo.
#CUT2# It looks like Jason Gavin has been cut. Gavin throws a head kick but Owings moves out of range.
Owings lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Owings turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Gavin. Owings does a little dance to reset his feet. Gavin tries to clinch there but Owings circles away.

Gavin shoots in looking for a takedown but Cracker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gavin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gavin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cracker lands with a good body shot. Cracker looks to throw the jab but Gavin is out of range. Cracker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Gavin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cracker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gavin avoids the body shot from Cracker.
Cracker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gavin slips under a jab from Cracker. Gavin shoots in for a takedown but Cracker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cracker misses with a shot to the body and Gavin counters with a three punch combo that has Cracker backing up. Cracker nods at Gavin to acknowledge the strikes. Gavin looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Cracker takes a swing at Gavin's ribcage but misses.
