Buckeye looking to sit in guard and control but Sarnicki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Sarnicki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. #SUB# Buckeye is looking for a triangle but Sarnicki pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buckeye looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sarnicki is one step ahead there. Buckeye is trying to control the position but Sarnicki postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sarnicki is looking to work some ground and pound but Buckeye has wrist control. Buckeye wants to stand but Sarnicki is controlling the position. Sarnicki looking to pass the guard. #T1# Buckeye pulls Sarnicki in close to prevent any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buckeye is on top in guard.
#REVR# Sarnicki has his hands on Buckeye's head, controlling the position. Buckeye won't allow Sarnicki to sweep him here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sarnicki can do anything to dispel that myth. Buckeye wants to control from the top but Sarnicki keeps moving. Sarnicki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Buckeye postures up in Sarnicki's guard and throws a big left but Sarnicki blocks it. Buckeye scoring with punches to the head and body. Buckeye working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #T3# Buckeye trying to control but Sarnicki is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buckeye loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Buckeye throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sarnicki works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Buckeye throwing strikes from guard but Sarnicki blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jab Buckeye dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2##TD# Buckeye decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Buckeye lands strikes from half guard. Buckeye working Sarnicki over with strikes. Buckeye working the head and body with strikes. #ROC# Sarnicki is rocked! Buckeye is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sarnicki is still in real trouble! Can Buckeye finish him? Buckeye lands a big elbow - Sarnicki is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Buckeye!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jab Buckeye! After the fight, Jab Buckeye was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
