Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mark Cole (ranked 23745 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Ribeiro (ranked 5204 p4p, 0 weight class). Leandro Ribeiro acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Mark Cole! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Leandro Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Ribeiro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cole's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Cole (0) vs (2) Ribeiro Ribeiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now. Cole has his foot on Ribeiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ribeiro works his way back into a safe position though. Cole working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ribeiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ribeiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ribeiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ribeiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. Cole looking for subs off his back but Ribeiro has passed one foot through into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole is refusing to be controlled, as Ribeiro sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole tries to get to full guard but Ribeiro has control of the leg. Ribeiro has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cole defend it? Ribeiro steps over the head and cranks it - Cole is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ribeiro!

Mac Cumhaill is trying to improve his position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Mac Cumhaill might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mac Cumhaill gets back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mac Cumhaill wants to improve his position but Cole is controlling well.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mark Cole has got the better of the ground game so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cole holds on and takes a little breather. Mac Cumhaill tries to free his leg and advance position but Cole is retaining full guard. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mac Cumhaill wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cole is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mac Cumhaill is controlling him. Mac Cumhaill stopping the sweep attempt from Cole.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Oisin Mac Cumhaill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mac Cumhaill fails with the takedown and Cole counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mac Cumhaill wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mac Cumhaill tries to bench press Cole off him but Cole keeps the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here as Cole stalls from top position. Cole lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Cole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Garza throws a big shot that misses.#CL# Garza clinches up against the cage. Cole blocks an elbow strike. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cole. Garza's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Garza misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Cole has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Garza clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Our spies down at at London MMA Club inform us that Cole has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Garza rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Cole appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.#TD2# Cole shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oskar napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ES# Oskar sneaks out the side door and pushes Cole away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Oskar closes the distance looking to clinch and Cole counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oskar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
#TD2# and Cole counters with a nice double leg into half guard. #ES# Oskar makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Oskar works over Cole's head and body with a nice combination.#CUT# It looks like Mark Cole has been cut. Oskar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cole checks a low kick from Oskar. Cole throws a wild hook but Oskar just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Cole gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Oskar raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Cole pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Norris Jr tumbling to the mat - Cole dives into Norris Jr's guard. Norris Jr wants to get back to his feet but Cole is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cole with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
