A telegraphed right hand from Gower misses the target.
Powell jabs at Gower's body.
Powell lands a right hook to the body.
Gower takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Jeff Gower has been cut.
Powell lands a glancing blow to the side of Gower's head.
Gower's coach down at JAVI Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gower's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Some wild striking there from Powell.
Powell has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gower throws a leg kick that is checked
and Powell counters with a right hand to the body.
Gower swings away with a body shot that misses
and Powell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Powell scores with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Powell steps in with a hook that catches Gower right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Powell follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gower looks absolutely devastated.

Gower looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range.
Lee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gower takes the fight into the clinch.
Lee wants to stall.
Gower lands a body shot.
Lee is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.#BC#
Gower breaks from the clinch.
Lee stuns Gower with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lee tries to land a front kick but Gower steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Lee looks for the body kick but Gower saw that one coming.
Lee feints a jab promting Gower to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gower slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gower will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gower is looking to counter punch.
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Gower moves away and avoids it.
Lee fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Gower throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tucker Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee throws a front kick that sends Gower stumbling back into the cage.
Gower is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.#T2#
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gower sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gower sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.
Jeff Gower has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tucker Lee.
Gower rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lee bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gower works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.#ROC#

and Gower counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gower lands a slapping body shot.
Gower keeps the fight on the outside.
Gower jabs at Jones's body.
Jones tries to clinch
and Gower counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gower lands a slapping body shot.
Gower stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
A quick step to the side and Gower tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gower could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #TD2#

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gower tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #SUB2#

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones is working for a rear naked choke. Gower is not defending it well and Jones has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Gower refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Gower's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
