Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Milo Silva (ranked 24904 p4p, 167 weight class) and Caio Barbosa (ranked 5816 p4p, 147 weight class). Milo Silva has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Milo Silva! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Caio Barbosa! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Barbosa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Silva lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB##SUB# Rita is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well. Rita is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea. Silva wants to control from the top but Rita keeps moving. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Rita is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva trying to control but Rita is working from the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from Rita's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. You can see the frustration on Rita's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Silva works to advance to full mount. Rita defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Rita looks to land a strike but Silva avoids it nicely and regains full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
#REVB# Rita pulls Silva in to control the position. Silva is pushing down on Rita's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rita is fighting to maintain full guard but Silva has managed to sneak the leg through. Rita pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
#ES# Rita has one foot on Silva's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#TD# Rita looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva!#SUB# Rita is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Banal loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch. Banal misses with a looping right. Banal throws a series of strikes that have Silva backpedaling.
Banal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Silva's head. Banal jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Banal misses with an uppercut. Silva saw that one coming. Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot. Banal misses with a double jab.
A jab from Banal misses. #T1# Banal misses with a left hand #TD2# so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Silva wants to control from the top but Banal keeps moving. Silva passes Banal's left leg - he's now in half guard. Silva working the head and body with strikes. Banal moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Silva trying to control but Banal is working from the bottom. Silva throwing strikes but missing. Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #SUB# Silva has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Banal to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silva is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Banal pulls down on the head and he's put Silva to sleep! This one is all over!

James looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. James throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Silva on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Silva misses the shot to the body. James scores with a jab. Silva acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James scores with a jab. A slapping leg kick lands for James.
James throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily. Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#T1# Silva takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jessie James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silva needs to keep his hands up - James had a free shot at his head there. James misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely. James has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jab by James. Silva misses with a lunging right hand

Silva misses with a takedown attempt and James counters with a nice uppercut. James tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault. James lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Silva. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Silva looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Nice cross by James. Silva dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Silva's head and hops out. And an attempted straight right on the counter from James! But no joy. James feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.#T4# Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away. James thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. James takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors!
