Volkov loads up on a big right hand but Costa slips the punch. Costa scores with a jab to the jaw. Costa tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Volkov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Costa moves in looking to clinch but Volkov pushes him off. Volkov misses with a shot to the body letting Costa counter with a right hand. Volkov misses with a double jab.

I really don't envy Costa right now.

and Costa counters with a one-two to the body. We've been told by Strap's head coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Costa on the wrong end of a nice jab. Strap swings for the body but Costa moves out of range.
Strap moves away from the strike by Costa. As Costa looks to move away, Strap throws a big counter combo but Costa just gets out of the way. Strap swinging wildly here.
A swing and a miss from Strap. Costa slips under a jab. Costa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A looping hook to the body misses from Costa. Strap does a little dance to reset his feet. Costa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Strap looks to land a left hand but Costa moved out of range nicely. Strap fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Costa on the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strap misses the shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Strap misses with a right hand and Costa counters with a stiff right hand. #T2# Strap moves out of range as Costa strikes. Craig has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Craig is looking to clinch. Lane Craig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Craig wants to clinch and Costa counters with a left to the body. Craig tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Costa paws at him with a jab and circles away. It looked like Costa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Craig connects with a single shot there. Craig lands the left hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Craig. Costa does a little dance to reset his feet. Craig lands a nice looking body shot.
Costa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Craig throws a shot from downtown. A low kick from Moso misses and Costa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Moso wants to clinch letting Costa counter with a right hand. Sloppy strikes from Moso. Those never looked like landing. As Moso looks to move away, Costa throws a big counter combo but Moso just gets out of the way. Costa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A leg kick checked by Costa. Costa manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Costa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
