No chance. #SUB# Penfold looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gonzalez sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Penfold is trying to control the position but Gonzalez postures up. #SUB# Gonzalez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penfold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzalez has managed to get both his arms back between Penfold's legs - danger averted. Gonzalez landing some decent shots from guard. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gonzalez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gonzalez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Gonzalez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gonzalez works over Penfold with some ground and pound from guard.#T3# Gonzalez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Penfold looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gonzalez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gonzalez lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Penfold looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gonzalez is one step ahead there. Gonzalez stays in close to Penfold's body and controls the position. Penfold looking to control.

Penfold is trying to defend but Gonzalez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Penfold is looking to escape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gonzalez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Gonzalez prevents a takedown attempt there.
#TD2# Gonzalez works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Gonzalez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gonzalez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Penfold wants to stand and escape but Gonzalez is having none of it. Penfold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penfold trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Gonzalez sitting in guard, not really doing much. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Penfold is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Penfold trying to control from the bottom.

#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gonzalez lands a big elbow - Penfold is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Gonzalez!
