#R1##TD2# Neega feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Neega stays in close to Carlson's body and controls the position. Neega stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carlson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Neega engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Neega must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Carlson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Carlson pushes a forearm under Neega's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Neega is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ike Carlson!
