#R1##TD2# Shakouri changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reginaldo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Reginaldo tries to bench press Shakouri off him but Shakouri keeps the position. Reginaldo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Reginaldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shakouri working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Shakouri landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Reginaldo tries to get to full guard but Shakouri has control of the leg. Shakouri looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reginaldo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shakouri is thwarting Reginaldo's attempts to control the position. Shakouri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#T1# Let's hope that Shakouri has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Reginaldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shakouri working over Reginaldo with some ground and pound. Reginaldo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Shakouri trying to pass the guard but Reginaldo defending well. #SUB# Reginaldo looking for submissions off his back.#SUB# Reginaldo actively working from the bottom here. Shakouri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shakouri is nestled in close to Reginaldo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Shakouri scoring with strikes to the body and head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shakouri landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Reginaldo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ground and pound from Shakouri. Reginaldo wants to improve his position but Shakouri is controlling well.
Shakouri scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Shakouri is figuring out what he wants to do next. Shakouri winds up and cracks Reginaldo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Reginaldo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Talu's Boxing Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Shakouri takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Shakouri working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Reginaldo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Shakouri scores with a big shot! Reginaldo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Reginaldo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

#R1# Reginaldo loads up on a big right hand but Samsonov slips the punch. Reginaldo misses the jab.#CL# Samsonov forces Reginaldo back against the cage and clinches. Reginaldo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. #TD2# Reginaldo pulls Samsonov into guard.

Reginaldo gets full guard. Samsonov is stalling in the full guard. #SUB2# Reginaldo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Samsonov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samsonov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Samsonov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reginaldo on the ground.#T1# Samsonov wants to stand but Reginaldo is controlling his posture from full guard. Samsonov trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.#SUB2# Reginaldo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Samsonov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Samsonov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# Reginaldo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB2# Reginaldo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Samsonov defends well.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Samsonov sitting in guard here, content to control. Samsonov has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Reginaldo is trying to control the position but Samsonov postures up. #SUB2# Reginaldo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reginaldo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Samsonov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Reginaldo's face as Samsonov controls the position. #T3# Samsonov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Reginaldo! Samsonov content just to control the position here. Samsonov tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Reginaldo is looking to improve his position but Samsonov isn't that keen on the idea. Reginaldo tries to hold on but Samsonov postures up. Samsonov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T4# Samsonov continues to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reginaldo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Ivan Samsonov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Samsonov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Emilio Reginaldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Samsonov walks into a left hand. Samsonov tries to move into range but Reginaldo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Samsonov slips under a jab. Samsonov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reginaldo. Reginaldo lunges at Samsonov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Samsonov's hand. Reginaldo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Samsonov at a distance.
Samsonov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Reginaldo misses the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reginaldo throws a lazy right hand but Samsonov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Reginaldo is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Samsonov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Samsonov slips a jab from Reginaldo.#CL# Samsonov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reginaldo, pushing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD2# Reginaldo pulls guard successfully.
#T1# Samsonov tries to stand but Reginaldo is controlling from the bottom. #SUB2# Reginaldo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Samsonov defends it easily. Samsonov stopping the sweep attempt from Reginaldo. Samsonov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# Reginaldo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Samsonov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Samsonov wants to pass the guard but Reginaldo is keeping the position. Ivan Samsonov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Samsonov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Samsonov wants to get up but he can't break Reginaldo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Reginaldo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Samsonov is one step ahead there. #SUB2# Reginaldo working for a triangle but Samsonov defends it easily.
Samsonov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #T3# Samsonov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Reginaldo misses with a hook.#CL# Samsonov moves into the clinch. Samsonov is leaning against Reginaldo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Samsonov pushes Reginaldo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Reginaldo is breathing heavily. Samsonov lands with a light punch inside. Samsonov stalling the fight.

Samsonov digs a right hand into Reginaldo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Reginaldo's gas tank. Samsonov working some nice short punches in the clinch. Samsonov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A right handed body shot lands from Samsonov.
Samsonov pushes Reginaldo against the cage. Samsonov is working some dirty boxing. Samsonov pushes off with a quick right hook! Reginaldo goes down! Reginaldo tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Samsonov moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
