#R1##CL2# Pickren moves into the clinch.#TD# Ramsey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pickren uses from the top position. Pickren is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ramsey looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pickren postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pickren trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramsey is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ramsey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ramsey is really struggling to control Pickren but he's trying to hold on to the position. Ramsey is striking from the bottom but Pickren uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. It looks like Pickren is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramsey wants to control but Pickren is keeping busy.
#T1# Pickren slips a nice elbow through Ramsey's hands, connecting with Ramsey's forehead. Pickren wants to free his trapped foot but Ramsey is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pickren trying to control the pace. Ramsey is trying to get back to full guard. Ramsey holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ramsey moves into full guard.
#ES# Ramsey is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. #TD2# Pickren successfully pulls guard.
Ramsey with a flurry of punches that miss. Pickren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramsey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T2# Pickren is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pickren wants to stand and escape but Ramsey is having none of it. Ramsey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ramsey stopping the sweep attempt from Pickren. Pickren throws a couple of heel strikes.

Ramsey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#T3# Ramsey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pickren but Pickren pushes him off and we're back to square one.#TD2# Pickren gets a double leg takedown into Ramsey's guard. Ramsey trying to keep a closed guard but Pickren is proving a slippery customer.

Pickren must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T4# Pickren lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ramsey keeping moving, preventing Pickren from controlling successfully. Pickren won't allow Ramsey to get back to his feet. Pickren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramsey swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ramsey is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pickren connects with a couple of short punches. Pickren slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.#SU2# Pickren decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ramsey to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramsey goes for a double leg but Pickren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pickren continues to drive forward. And Pickren tries to counter it with a takedown but Ramsey pushes his down on his head and steps out.#TD2# Pickren shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ramsey is trying to defend but Pickren finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Pickren dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2##TD2# Pickren shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ramsey tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Pickren manages to move to mount!
