It looks like Kelly might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Kelly tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. A lull in the action here as Kelly stalls from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. RodneyField is pushing Kelly's head away, looking to escape. Kelly manages to hold on to the position though.#T1# Kelly tries to advance to mount but RodneyField denies him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. RodneyField is letting Kelly control him for a moment. Kelly is looking to take a break and control but RodneyField is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kelly is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down RodneyField's shoulder. That is not cool. Kelly wants to control but RodneyField is keeping him busy. RodneyField tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. RodneyField looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kelly is fending him off so far but RodneyField persists. Nope, Kelly circles away and we're back to standing.#TD# Kelly shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kelly looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Nasty wants a takedown but no success here.
#TD# Nasty is fighting off a takedown attempt but RodneyField is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nasty to the mat. Nasty regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Nasty is trying to keep RodneyField in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. RodneyField wants to control from the top but Nasty keeps moving. RodneyField is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Russian Bears Training Center that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nasty can do anything to dispel that myth. Nasty will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

RodneyField is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Barnett keeping full guard, as RodneyField tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. RodneyField looking to control the position here, rather than advance. #SUB2# RodneyField drops back looking for a leg! Barnett is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barnett manages to kick RodneyField off! RodneyField jumps back into Barnett's guard. #SUB2# RodneyField drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... #CL2# RodneyField forces Parks back against the cage and clinches. RodneyField misses with an elbow over the top. Parks lands an uppercut. Parks jumps guard but RodneyField turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A short uppercut from RodneyField. #CUT2# It looks like Connie Parks has been cut. Parks misses with a short punch on the inside. Parks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Parks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. RodneyField smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connie Parks. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from RodneyField. #TD2# RodneyField shoots in from a long way out.
