We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Helgard. Those never looked like landing. #CL# Helgard moves into range and clinches up with Perez.#BC2# Perez breaks from the clinch.
Perez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Helgard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#T1# Perez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
#TD# and Helgard counters with a takedown into side control. Helgard is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Helgard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Helgard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perez, who protects the arm well. Helgard advances to mount. Perez is trying desperately to improve position.#SUB# Helgard with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
#T2# Perez is trying to stand but he's just given Helgard his back. Perez tries to escape but Helgard has the hooks in and won't let him break free. #SUB# Helgard looking for the choke but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB# Perez is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

#R1##TD# Cabrera shoots in and bounces Helgard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.#SUB2# Cabrera is sitting in close to Helgard's body. Helgard has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cabrera is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cabrera is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Helgard.

#R1# A combination from Helgard does no damage. Gould tries to counter with a takedown but Helgard is quick to defend against it. Helgard throws a big shot that misses. Helgard tries a head kick but it misses.
Gould takes a shot to the body in his stride.
#TD2# Helgard dives in and scores a takedown into Gould's guard. Helgard wants to control from the top but Gould keeps moving. Helgard won't allow Gould to sweep him here. Gould really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#SUB2# Helgard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Helgard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gould has his hands on Helgard's head, controlling the position. Helgard postures up and lands a big shot to Gould's brow. Helgard pushing down on Gould's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gould tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Helgard!
