#R1##TD2# King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Boulton's guard. Boulton wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, King seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from King. King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boulton won't allow King to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boulton pushes King off looking to stand but King dives back in and keeps control.
Boulton wants to improve his position but King is controlling well.
King performing his best blanket impression for a moment. #T1# King wants to free his trapped foot but Boulton is holding on for dear life with his legs. Still in half guard, King seems content to control. Boulton is looking to escape. King is taking a breather. Boulton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Boulton is trying to defend against the ground and pound but King scores with a couple of nice shots. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with King in particular looking to stall. King looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Boulton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. King is working away from the top position though.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#CL# Boulton gets a clinch. King drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boulton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Boulton struggles to land a body shot inside as King controls his hands.
#TD2# King has Boulton pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. King pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Boulton tumbling to the mat - King dives into Boulton's guard.#SUB# Boulton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. King is aware though and is defending well. King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB# King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boulton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Boulton's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack King dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD2# King throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boulton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. King is in Boulton's guard. King keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Boulton's head.#SUB# Boulton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Boulton pulls King in close to prevent any damage. Boulton wants to stand up but King is controlling him. King passes easily into side control. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boulton tries to bench press King off him but King keeps the position. King has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Boulton!#SUB2# King working for a guillotine from mount but Boulton is in no mood to give up. King working away from the top, dropping strikes.#T1# King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. King is continuing to stall. Let's hope that King has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. King punishing his opponent with strikes. #SUB2# King working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Boulton is trying to escape the mount.
#T2# King controlling from the full mount. King's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. King scores with a couple of good head shots there.
King has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#SUB2# King swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
