Covert has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Covert throws a chopping leg kick but Petruzzelli manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Petruzzelli is looking to counter the offense by Covert and move into the clinch. Petruzzelli looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Petruzzelli misses with a two punch combination.
Durante Alinari Petruzzelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Covert looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Durante Alinari Petruzzelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petruzzelli scores with a three punch combo!
