Barros tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Donovan defends well and Barros ends up having to push Donovan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#TD# Barros gets caught flat footed, as Donovan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Barros has momentary wrist control but Donovan slips an elbow through the middle. Donovan sitting in guard here, content to control. Barros controls Donovan momentarily but Donovan frees himself. #SUB2# Barros has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Donovan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Barros. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Donovan misses with an attempted head punch from side control. #T1# You can see the frustration on Barros's face as Donovan controls the position. Barros avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Donovan. Donovan takes a little break here. Barros gets slowly back to his feet. Barros gets off balance looking for a body kick#TD# and Branch counters with a shoot takedown. Barros fights it but they end up in guard. Barros really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Branch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barros being controlled here, momentarily. #SU# Branch stands and steps away. Barros gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Branch swings away with a leg kick that misses. Alex Barros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barros swinging wildly here.

Branch displaying some good clinch control by pressing Barros up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roffen wants to counter the offense by Barros and move into the clinch position.#CL2# Roffen rushes Barros and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Roffen connects with a knee to the head.
Barros tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Roffen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mccormick's half guard.#ES# Mccormick kicks Barros off and gets back to his feet.#TD2# Barros shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.#ES# Mccormick has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barros is on him like a limpet, forcing Mccormick back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mccormick landing knees to the body.
