#R1# Villarreal needs to keep his hands up - Karl had a free shot at his head there.#CUT2# It looks like Jonathan Villarreal has been cut. Villarreal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Karl.
Villarreal appears to be looking for a big counter.#TD2# Karl decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Karl not landing any meaningful shots this time. Karl is pressing down on Villarreal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Villarreal is holding on for now. #SUB2# Karl is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Villarreal sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villarreal is trying to stand back up but Karl is controlling him

Karl stalling away here and it's allowed Villarreal to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. #T1# Villarreal is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#SUB# Villarreal pushes a forearm under Karl's chin to create some space. #R1# Roldan throws a body shot but no joy. Karl scores with a kick to the midsection. Roldan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Karls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!#CL# Karl darts in and clinches Roldan up against the cage.#TD# Karl manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Roldan trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Karl manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! #REVR# Karl engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Karl connects with a couple of short punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Karl stays in close to Roldan's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Karl drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Karl as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Roldan screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Karl! Nice submission victory there!

#R1# Karl tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Velez swivels and escapes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karl. Velez feinted with a counter takedown. Velez moves out of range as Karl throws a body kick.
Velez really is a fat lump. Karl tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Velez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Velez appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#CL2# Karl has Velez up against the cage in a clinch.
Karl jumps guard but Velez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Korey Velez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phamous Karl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velez wants to take the fight to the mat but Karl manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Karl stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Velez misses with a few strikes there.
Karl misses with a head kick.
Velez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Karl sprawls well. Karl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Velez gets slowly back to his feet. Karl shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Velez defends it nicely.#CL2# Karl closes the distance and pushes Velez back into the cage.#T2# Karl wants to take the fight to the mat but Velez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Karl tries to land knees in the clinch but Velez avoids the damage to the body. Velez tries for a takedown. No joy.
#BC2# Karl pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Velez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Karl.
Velez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Karl steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Velez. A good leg kick by Velez. #T3##TD2# Velez gets caught napping as Karl dives in and scores a takedown. Velez manages to retain guard. Velez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Karl is controlling him. Karl wants to control from the top but Velez keeps moving. #SUB# Velez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Karl defends well.#SUB# Velez has his feet on Karl's thighs here. He's pushed Karl off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Karl screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
