#TD# so Anderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. #SU# Anderson stands up from guard. Let's bang! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz. Anderson tries to counter by clinching up but Diaz breaks away and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson swinging wildly here.
Diaz feints the counter takedown. Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Anderson defends it nicely. Waldo Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Diaz.#T1# Anderson blocks a leg kick. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet. A counter left hand to the body from Anderson misses its target. Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side. Diaz shoots in but Anderson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Diaz pushes Anderson away with a front kick.#T2# Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Diaz misses with a takedown attempt and Anderson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Anderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Diaz shoots in but Anderson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Anderson throws a big counter combination but Diaz scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Diaz looks winded! Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Anderson throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson counters with a one-two to the body. Anderson keeps the fight on the outside.#T3# Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
#TD# Anderson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Diaz has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.#SU# Anderson stands up and waves to Diaz to follow him. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick #TD# and Anderson counters with a takedown into side control. #SUB# Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB# Anderson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Diaz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Anderson yanks on the arm and Diaz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Anderson.
