Horrible takedown attempt by Hebert or perhaps it was just good defense by McGregor, which made it look bad. McGregor fails with a takedown attempt. McGregor tries to clinch but Hebert moves away and Hebert counters with a one-two to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hebert misses with a head kick.
McGregor tries to counter by closing the distance. McGregor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hebert swats him away and circles back towards the center. A jab lands there for Hebert. Hebert keeps the fight on the outside.#T1# McGregor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hebert eats them both and turns towards McGregor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hebert misses with the combination.
#TD2# McGregor fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hebert to the ground. McGregor is now in Hebert's guard. McGregor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McGregor postures up and lands a big shot to Hebert's brow. McGregor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hebert avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McGregor postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. #ROC2# Hebert is rocked! McGregor gets to his feet and stands over Hebert, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hebert felt that one! McGregor unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hebert from any more punishment!
