Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ways working some strikes from top position. Ways wants to control from the top but Sajko keeps moving. Ways must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Ways keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sajko's head. Ways is pushing down on Sajko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sajko is fighting to maintain full guard but Ways has managed to sneak the leg through. Sajko is looking to control Ways's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sajko avoid being mounted? Ways is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Sajko is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ways is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Ways dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Sajko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ways wants to counter with a clinch but Sajko pushes him away. Ways closes the distance and clinches up with Sajko, looking for a takedown. Ways pushes Sajko against the cage but Sajko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ways shoots for a double leg takedown but Sajko sprawls well. He's pushed Ways's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. #CL2# Sajko tries to keep at a distance but Ways has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD2# Sajko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ways is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sajko to the mat. Sajko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Ways advances position into side control! Sajko tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sajko wants to control but Ways postures up. Ways has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sajko tries to bench press Ways off him but Ways keeps the position. Sajko swings wildly with an uppercut but Ways uses good head movement to avoid it. #TD2# Ways gets control of Sajko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ways will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.#SUB2# Ways looking for a guillotine here but Sajko defends easily.
Sajko wanted to stand there but Ways had control of the position. #T3# Ways trying to keep a closed guard but Sajko is proving a slippery customer.
#SUB2# Sajko content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ways has locked up a guillotine! Ways's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sajko is holding on here and Ways must be using up a lot of energy. Sajko has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ways gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

#R1# Ways tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sajko defends well and Ways ends up having to push Sajko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sajko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sajko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
