As Winkle tries to get set, White Jr tries to push him back and clinch up but Winkle manages to avoid the attempt. #R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Hongo leaves Winkle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Hongo tries to counter it with a takedown but Winkle pushes his down on his head and steps out. Winkle shoots in but no luck this time. And Hongo tries to counter it with a takedown but Winkle pushes his down on his head and steps out. Winkle fails to land the takedown. Hongo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Winkle. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
