#R1# Schmoe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.#TD# Osterberg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Schmoe was covering up waiting for the punch and Osterberg finishes the takedown easily into guard. Osterberg passes easily into side control. Nice work. Osterberg advances to full mount. Schmoe tries to lock up and control but Osterberg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Osterberg landing strikes from the mount and Schmoe is in trouble! Schmoe is bucking up trying to escape but Osterberg cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Osterberg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schmoe looks a forlorn figure.
Osterberg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Schmoe tries to hold on but Osterberg pushes him away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Osterberg lands a nice shot to the head. Schmoe is desperately trying to improve his position but Osterberg has a good base and remains in mount. Osterberg punishing his opponent with strikes. Osterberg controlling his opponent. #T1# Schmoe wants to hold on but Osterberg pushes him away. Osterberg lands a heavy elbow. Osterberg cracks Schmoe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
#ROC# Schmoe is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schmoe can do anything to dispel that myth. Schmoe is wriggling around trying to escape.
Osterberg landing strikes from the mount. Schmoe is still in real trouble! Can Osterberg finish him? Osterberg avoids the attempt from Schmoe to control. Osterberg has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Schmoe's face.
Osterberg is landing with some decent strikes but Schmoe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Schmoe takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Osterberg's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Osterberg! James Osterberg tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

#R1# White Jr throws a body punch but Schmoe moves out of range. Schmoe tries to clinch up but White Jr circles away and keeps his distance. Good exchange - Schmoe coming out on top. Schmoe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck White Jr on the side of the head. The fight stays on the outside here - Schmoe looks like he's thinking about clinching though. White Jr feints the counter takedown. Schmoe tries to clinch up but White Jr circles away and keeps his distance. Schmoe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmoe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. White Jr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
White Jr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Joe Schmoe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T1# White Jr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. White Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schmoe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White Jr somewhat. Schmoe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Schmoe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Schmoe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White Jr.

#T2# Schmoe with a nice cross. Joe Schmoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from White Jr. Schmoe does a little dance to reset his feet. Schmoe stuns White Jr with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Schmoe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Schmoe enables White Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schmoe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! White Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. White Jr lands some shots froms side control. Schmoe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
White Jr scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Schmoe to see if he's OK. White Jr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. White Jr cracks Schmoe with a big right hand but Schmoe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
White Jr cracks Schmoe with an elbow. That is naaassty.#SUB2# White Jr has hold of Schmoe's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Schmoe seems comfortable defending it but White Jr has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Schmoe is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Schmoe is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but White Jr couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bruce White Jr! A relieved looking Bruce White Jr thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
