That looked like it hurt. Weudke loads up on a big right hand but Boban slips the punch. Weudke tries to move into range but Boban moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Boban on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Weudke takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boban shoots for a double leg takedown but Weudke sprawls well. He's pushed Boban's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Boban throws a poor cross that misses

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Weudke controls Boban momentarily but Boban frees himself. Boban tries to free his leg and advance position but Weudke is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boban checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Boban appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Nice defenses there by Weudke. Boban tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jure Boban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boban fails with the takedown. No joy there for Boban, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Boban is working away from the top position though. Weudke manages to get to full guard.

#R1# Boban dives in for a single leg takedown but Pulkkinen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Boban dives in and grabs Pulkkinen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pulkkinen pushes down on Boban's head and hops out. Pulkkinen throws a solid leg kick but Boban takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pulkkinen. We've been told by Pulkkinen's head coaches at Jorzi GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Boban misses with a jab, cross combination.
A little feinted left hand from Pulkkinen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Pulkkinen defending well as Boban loads up on a big left hand. Boban takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. #CUT# It looks like Jure Boban has been cut. Pulkkinen lands a really nice looking cross but Boban seems unphased.

And Boban tries to counter it with a takedown but Pulkkinen pushes his down on his head and steps out. Boban throws a looping overhand right but Pulkkinen ducks down to avoid it. Boban moves forwards but Pulkkinen connects with a nice, crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Boban fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pulkkinen thinks about countering with a body kick. Pulkkinen staying out of range there. Boban's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pulkkinen under the eye. Boban throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

HR Paperstacks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boban takes a swing at Paperstacks's ribcage but misses. Boban's jab looks to have found its range, popping Paperstacks under the eye. Boban ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Paperstacks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boban. Boban throws a looping overhand right but Paperstacks ducks down to avoid it. Paperstacks changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. The fighters circling - Boban throws out the jab but it was never going to land. #TD2# Boban gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Paperstacks to score an easy takedown into full guard. Paperstacks prevents Boban from getting back to his feet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boban is on top in guard.

You can see the frustration on Paperstacks's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

It looks like Boban has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Boban avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
