#R1##TD2# Sexton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Stone pulls Sexton in close to prevent any damage. Sexton trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sexton sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone is adopting a defensive guard.#SUB# Stone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #T1# Sexton wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Sexton is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sexton is one step ahead there. Stone has control of Sexton's left arm, preventing Sexton from doing any damage. Sexton sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Stone is adopting a defensive guard.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#TD2# Stone gets caught napping as Sexton dives in and scores a takedown. Stone manages to retain guard. Sexton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stone is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sexton should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sexton is looking to work some ground and pound but Stone has wrist control. Sexton with a flurry of punches that miss. Sexton wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving. Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#T3##SUB# The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Stone postures up and lands a big shot to Sexton's brow. Stone won't allow Sexton to sweep him here. Sexton looking to control.
Stone makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sexton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Stone postures up in Sexton's guard and throws a big left but Sexton blocks it. #T4##SUB2# Sexton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sexton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stone scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stone with a flurry of punches that miss. Sexton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sexton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stone is working Sexton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #SUB2# Stone has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sexton to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stone is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sexton pulls down on the head and he's put Stone to sleep! This one is all over!
