#R1##CL2# Spear rushes Hebert and presses him up against the cage. Spear drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hebert pulls his leg out and moves away.
Spear tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #CL2# Spear moves into the clinch. Spear is trying to force a seperation but Hebert has the dominant position. Hebert jumps guard but Spear stands there with Hebert around his waist. Hebert gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
#TD# Hebert pulls guard effortlessly. #SUB# Hebert looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Spear passes into side control.
Spear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hebert keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spear looks up at the clock and then as Hebert takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Spear smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Spear working the ground and pound but Hebert is defending the strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Spear working the head with strikes. Spear is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Spear in side control lands a decent elbow. Hebert is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spear tries to advance position but instead Hebert slips a leg back in to half guard. Spear stalling. Hebert is not content to let Spear control the position.#T2# It looks like Spear is going to stand back up.
Hebert might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spear is trying to control. Hebert wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. #SU2# Spear decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Spear tries to clinch and Hebert counters with a straight right hand. Hebert defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spear.#T3# Spear misses with a wild combination.
#TD2# Hebert gets caught flat footed, as Spear shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hebert is wriggling around but Spear manages to pass to half guard.
#REVR# Spear has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hebert is not content to let Spear control the position.#T4# Ground and pound from Spear. Spear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hebert keeps working. Spear misses with a head shot. Hebert uses the momentum to regain guard. Spear trying to control the position from guard on top but Hebert is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hebert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. #R2# Spear wants to clinch.#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Spear enables Hebert to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spear manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#ES2# The fighters are working up against the cage. Spear manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Hebert fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Spear slips nicely into half guard. Spear lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. #T1# Hebert tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Spear not doing much here.
Spear is just content to waste time from the top position. Hebert takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Spear content to stall in guard here. Spear forces his way into half guard.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Spear lands strikes from half guard. Spear prevents Hebert from standing back up.
Spear is keen to just control but Hebert is a slippery customer.#SU2# Spear stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Spear bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hebert's head.#TD2# Spear shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hebert manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hebert is wriggling around but Spear manages to pass to half guard.
#ROC2# Hebert is rocked!#T3##REVR# Oh Hebert is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Hebert is defending against the submission attempts here by Spear.
