Hilver with a lazy takedown attempt and George counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hilver is lucky that one didn't land flush. George slaps away a takedown attempt from Hilver, before circling back to the center of the mat. George is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hilver. Hilver fails to land the takedown. Denny George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jojo Hilver. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# George moves into range and clinches up with Hilver. George trying to land knees to the body.

Hilver shoots in for a takedown but George shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. George drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hilver sprawls and moves away.#TD# George gets the takedown into side control. #SU# George decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hilver to his feet. Hilver lands a really nice looking cross but George seems unphased.
#TD# George fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hilver sprawls well initially but George persists and gets the takedown into half guard. George could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#T2# This has been an exciting period of action! George is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. George not doing much here.

George is stalling in the full guard. George has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hilver utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hilver has momentary wrist control but George slips an elbow through the middle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells George's corner. There ya go! There ya go! George scoring with some ground and pound. #T4# George postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. George showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hilver is looking to sweep but instead, George has passed into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Denny George will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Denny George's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Hilver dives in and grabs George's left leg, looking for a takedown. George pushes down on Hilver's head and hops out. Hilver trying to control the other hand but George gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hilver has tapped out! The fight is over!

#CL# Cross rushes Hilver and presses him up against the cage. Cross tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hilver just stands there and leans against the cage.#BC2# Hilver breaks from the clinch.
#CL# Cross darts in and clinches Hilver up against the cage. Cross throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hilver wants to break free but Cross has control.
Hilver goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cross prevents it.
Cross fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cross blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.#BC2# Hilver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
