Botkin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Botkin defending well as Rosen loads up on a big left hand. Botkin ducks under a wild hook from Rosen. Botkin was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Rosen tests Botkin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rosen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Botkin. Botkin scoring well with a low kick there.
Botkin cracks Rosen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rosen is defended easily by Botkin. Botkin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Rosen throws a lazy right hand but Botkin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Botkin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rosen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Botkin throws a shot to the body.

Botkin cracks the inside of Rosen's front leg. No joy there for Rosen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Rosen might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Botkin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A quick step to the side and Rosen tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Botkin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rosen. Botkin feints and then cracks Rosen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rosen down. Botkin connects with a body shot that sends Rosen's belly button to the back. Decent striking displayed by Botkin there. Botkin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rosen in his tracks. A left and a right from Botkin both land. Nice combination. #ROC2# Rosen is rocked! Rosen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Oh Rosen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Botkin lands the left hand. Botkin rushes Rosen with punches - Rosen moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Rosen goes down! Botkin follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Horrible takedown attempt by Benson or perhaps it was just good defense by Rosen, which made it look bad. Rosen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Benson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rosen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
#CL# and Benson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Benson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rosen's efforts to push away. Rosen wants to get back to striking at distance but Benson won't allow it.
Benson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rosen pulls him back up using the underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rosen is looking to break free of the clinch but Benson has double underhooks. Benson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rosen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clarence Benson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Benson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rosen's waist but Rosen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Benson off to one side. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rosen, as that shot connected.

No chance. #SUB2# Rosen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Romain to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rosen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Romain pulls down on the head and he's put Rosen to sleep! This one is all over!
