Velez really is a fat lump. Velez dodges an elbow strike from Rabble.
Rabble misses with some punches.
#TD2# Velez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rabble is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Velez to the mat. Velez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.#ES# Velez kicks Rabble off and gets to his feet. Ryan Rabble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabble throws a wild body kick that Velez sees coming a mile off. Velez throws a big counter combination but Rabble scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Velez misses with a takedown attempt - Rabble sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.#CL2# Rabble rushes Velez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Velez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rabble can do anything to dispel that myth. Velez throwing strikes but missing, from side control. #R1##TD# Pearson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rabble was covering up waiting for the punch and Pearson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rabble looks winded! Pearson with a nice head shot there. Pearson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rabble utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pearson cracks Rabble with a solid left hand. Pearson cracks Rabble with a solid left hand. Pearson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #SU# Pearson stands up from guard. Let's bang! #TD# Pearson shoots in and gets a takedown into Rabble's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pearson's corner. #R1# Key shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rabble looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rabble shoots in for a takedown but Key shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Key seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Ryan Rabble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabble shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Margarito Key has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Rabble. Rabble shoots in looking for a takedown but Key manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rabble's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.#CL# Key clinches up with Rabble and pushes him back against the cage.#TD# Key decides to pull guard. Rabble working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rabble looking to pass the guard.
