Waid takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Waid looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Hood with the active half guard here but Waid passes nicely into side control.#T1##SUB2# Waid is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hood has escaped the position, nice work there. A lull in the action here. Hood is positioning himself to get back to half guard. He's backing up but Bosa isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hood from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bosa!

#R1##TD2# Dalamekov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dalamekov is working Hood over with some ground and pound from side control. Dalamekov tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hood's legs. Hood wants to get back to his feet. Dalamekov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hood some visible discomfort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dalamekov tries to move to mount but Hood blocks the move with his legs. Dalamekov is looking to take a break and control but Hood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dalamekov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dalamekov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hood will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.#T1##SU2# Dalamekov decides to stand back up. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Grissom is keen to just control but Hood is a slippery customer. Hood wants to control but Grissom is keeping busy.
Grissom perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hood blocking the ground and pound attempt from Grissom. Grissom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hood won't allow Grissom to pass to mount. #T1# Grissom takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hood is looking for a sweep. Grissom is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Grissom is controlling the pace.

Grissom passes to side control. Grissom controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grissom wants to take a breather but Hood manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Grissom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
