#R1# Velasquez tries to close the distance and clinch but Carmona swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Carmona drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Velasquez defends it well. Velasquez is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carmona is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Velasquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carmona is trying to counter with his kicks. Carmona works Velasquez's body with a nice hook.#CL2# Carmona clinches. Carmona prevents a takedown attempt there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez misses with a punch to the body.
Velasquez has Carmona pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carmona manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Velasquez avoiding damage as Carmona throws knees to the body.

Let's hope that Carmona has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Velasquez tries to buck Carmona off but Carmona is having none of it. Velasquez managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Carmona.
Carmona controls the position. It looks like Carmona might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carmona was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carmona controlling the position. Carmona's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T4# Velasquez looks to move to half guard but instead Carmona has passed into mount! Damn! Carmona controlling from the full mount. Carmona looking to control but Velasquez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Carmona tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB2# Carmona is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Velasquez is surviving well by controlling Carmona's body position as best he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Velasquez is defending well but Carmona drives through and ends up in Velasquez's guard.#SU2# Velasquez is working an open guard so Carmona takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.#TD2# Carmona closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Velasquez did well to prevent Carmona getting side control. Carmona wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is defending well. Velasquez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carmona. Carmona uses his free foot to push down on Velasquez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Velasquez. Carmona throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Velasquez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
#T1# Carmona tries to control but Velasquez wriggling away. Carmona might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Velasquez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Velasquez manages to regain half guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velasquez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Carmona works a leg free and moves into half guard. #T2##SU2# Carmona stands up and beckons Velasquez to join him on the feet. #CL2# Carmona closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Velasquez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carmona avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#TD2# Carmona turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carmona manages to end up in side control. Velasquez avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Carmona. Velasquez is trying to get back to half guard. Velasquez is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#T3# Velasquez is letting Carmona control him for a moment. Velasquez is trying to get back to half guard. Carmona is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Velasquez's shoulder. That is not cool. #SU2# Carmona has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. #TD2# Carmona scores with a takedown into Velasquez's guard.#SU2# Carmona stands up from Velasquez's guard - Carmona perhaps looking for a knockout. #T4##TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Velasquez enables Carmona to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Velasquez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Carmona controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Carmona is continuing to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Jr Carmona showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! #R3##CL2# Carmona moves into range and clinches up with Velasquez.#TD2# Carmona manages to pull guard.
Velasquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Carmona is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nathan Jr Carmona has got the better of the ground game so far. Carmona is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Velasquez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carmona controls the pace.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carmona advances to half guard. Carmona frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Carmona with the ground and pound from mount. Carmona tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carmona unloads with some shots from mount but Velasquez bucks and avoids them well.
Velasquez regains half guard.#T3##SUB2# Carmona is working for a submission of some sort.

And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Jr Carmona comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Carmona has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
